Family. We have gotten a good dose of it lately! I wish it could be every month that I get to see me parents, my brothers, Ryan's Nana, aunts and uncles and cousins...I truly enjoy it.
Mike is back from Afghanistan as of a couple of weeks ago. I am so thankful! My parents and brother Tim came out to welcome him home so we had a nice week with them at the beginning of the month. It is so good to see Mike. He seems to be doing very well and is, of course, very glad to be back in the U.S. He'll be coming here for the weekend and bringing a buddy of his from Colorado who is stationed an hour away from him in North Carolina.
We made an 8 hour trek to Ohio a couple of weekends ago to celebrate Nana's 90th birthday. Gabe and Griffin did great (besides a few hours of Griffin crying in the car) and we had a very nice time seeing a bunch of Ryan's relatives. Ryan's aunt and uncle have opened up a very cute little cafe, so we got to spend a lot of time there eating great food and drinking their coffee creations (yum!).
Last weekend was an Edward Jones regional meeting up in Wintergreen, VA. Beautiful place, even though we were kind of limited with Ryan in meetings and a little baby. Gabe loved the pool, though.
Well, that is the last month in a nutshell! Lots of traveling (I forgot to mention a wedding in Northern VA and a baby shower Memorial Day weekend) so we are glad to be staying home this weekend.
Griffin has been rolling with everything really well--he sleeps 12 hours every night, which is wonderful! He is very smiley and growing very fast. Gabe loves to kiss him touch his little feet. I can't wait until they can play together!
I love seeing Mike in these pictures! Miss you guys and can't wait to meet my sweet nephew, he is so cute!
