Well, Ryan is feeling much better as of this afternoon. No more nausea and he's been up a few times walking and eating. Huge difference! We watched some fireworks from the 13th floor of the building here--some conference room in a remote part of the building that lots of nurses pointed us to. Another patient and her family went with us, so we had a big crowd, which was kind of fun. You could see dozens of different groups of fireworks, with downtown Bethesda being the closest and biggest to downtown Washington, DC, which were far away, but still awesome. I missed hearing and smelling them, but seeing them was better than nothing.
Also, Noah and Rachel stopped by tonight after getting in from their honeymoon. They had a blast but seem glad to be home. Ok, going to head back over to the hospital now, but good night and hope your 4th was fun!
Great news!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear Ryan is feeling better! Let him know I love him and have been praying for him.
ReplyDeleteLeigh & Ryan - thank you so much for the updates! I got your message about spreading the blog address to the Sunday School class and had every intention of doing so, but showed up on Sunday morning to find everyone in the sanctuary for a presentation by Jimmy Thompson about their mission work. So, we didn't have normal SS this week. Sorry! I will direct ppl to your blog when I see them though. I've got the address memorized :) We look forward to your return!! Do you need us to do anything else for you while you're gone? Just let me know! Love you guys - Lindsey
