Checking In and Happy Birthday

Ryan is 31 today! Happy Birthday to him. We are having a pretty low-key day, kind of like the last two weeks and probably like the next few to come. I had a hard time figuring out whether we had been home for one week or two, which I guess is just how life is these days! With Gabe and Griffin around, things can't get too dull, and my sister's husband Mark just flew out from Denver, so that will kick things up a notch for the next couple of days.

Mark will be making some yummy enchiladas for Ryan's birthday tonight, then we'll celebrate tomorrow night with George and Tori, and my brother Mike is coming in for the weekend.

Sorry it has been so long with no updates, but life just demands attention and I don't get to sit down for long most days. Ryan is getting better every day, but it is slow and hard to see the progress. We have to trust that it is there, though! He hasn't gotten out much. We are hoping to make it to church this Sunday, but mornings are the hardest part of the day for him. We miss seeing everyone though.

We have been so blessed to be getting regular meals through people at church. It has taken a lot of stress off of me and I appreciate every one who has stopped by and dropped something off or visited. We are grateful for a church family and people who care. I hope to get some recent pictures uploaded soon, but until then, we are doing well and still need your prayers for a fast recovery! Thanks!

  1. So glad to hear things are progressing...we've been thinking of all our fellow NIH surgery people hoping for an update! Hang in there...Happy Birthday...and look forward to Spring which should be just around the corner - right?!?

Also, Thanks again for all your support during our time at NIH!
